  1. Such a thought-provoking question! New places we visit are usually known for their places of interest…so first on my list would be the most spectacular place, for which the place is famous – if it is Natural surroundings, my choice would be the best lake, the sunset, a stroll around the peaks. if it is a building, I would visit it and click a lot of pictures like The Taj Mahal in India, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Eiffel Tower in Paris…food and photography would be my second choice and a comfortable bed the last. 🙂

  2. We usually stay in places that have kitchenettes, so our first foray is to the nearest market/grocery for foodstuffs. Then we just wander around. Yes, we’ll have a list of ‘attractions’ and sometimes we do get to them all but mostly we meander around town, poking into whatever looks different or interesting. We don’t go to resorts, or nature/camping sorts of places – we are city people – concrete and carbon monoxide to the core!

  3. It depends on where I’m going. I find travel to be utterly draining, so my first concern is usually where I’m sleeping! From there – I like wandering. Yes, it’s nifty to go to some of the famous or well known attractions – but I really like to see what ordinary people are doing or shopping for. If I’m near a beach, I want to find the quietest and most secluded part of it, and just enjoy the waves. Doesn’t even have to be summer, I like the beach all the time!

    1. Ordinary people can tell the true story of that place. Beaches tell you the story you already have within. 🙂

  4. The water, it’s relaxing and semi terrifying all at once traveling over bridges over bodies of water. Weird, I know but that’s me

    1. Water can sustain life and it can also take it. We as people often think that nature can be cruel, but it’s exactly how it should be. Balanced!

      1. That’s very true, I’ve never actually thought of it that way. Thanks for the fresh perspective
