Successful People – Simon Sinek

Simon Sinek is mostly known for his work as a motivational speaker and author (you can read more about him here). His book Start With Why is a New York Times best seller and it offers a way to find your path.

I consider him to be successful because it has such a big influence on so many people because of his why. He dreams about a world where everybody is fulfilled by the work he/she has to do. And it’s a nice and fair why, right? How many people “hate” Mondays? How many of us feel like sh*t every morning just because we know we have to go to work? Whatever the “real” answer is, in my opinion there are too many people in this category.

Getting into jobs we hate because we need the money and staying there because we have to are two of the reasons we sometimes think that our lives suck and that’s what Simon Sinek tries to fix.

You can find below a video made by Evan Carmichael with his view about Top 10 Rules for Success that Simon Sinek applies in his life.

What rules do you find useful and you’ll start using in your life?

  1. Hey! Nice video!

Simon has been my inspiration for quite some time!

From all his talks etc. I’d say its giving to others.

The act of contributing something of value to the lives of others will make the good come back to you. I don’t say this because I’m a believer in the law of attraction, but because its human nature.

Giving value to others and contributing to their survival has helped our ancestors build trust with one another. And those whom we trust, we instinctively follow and give. But to receive their follow, we often (not always) have to give first. Simon has a similar approach to this.

    Keep it up! 🙂

  2. Yes, you’re so right! He was one of the first people that determined me (indirectly) to start this blog. P.S. Sorry for the late reply… this comment went to spam and I don’t know why.

  3. All successful people are surrounded by other successful people. Maybe not in the same field and not in the same way. But they’re all wonderful and inspiring people. They’re humble, even though they know their worth. And they’re giving out more than they’re getting back. Well, actually that’s it. Successful people give. That’s what they do, that’s how they function. That’s what makes them plentiful and resourceful.
