I see that all of them put tons of work daily and through that work they managed to get successful. I know I should get faster at producing posts for my blog. I was writing each day. I might get back to that maybe just maybe. LikeLiked by 2 people I think about all the time I’ve wasted and all the things I could’ve been if I hadn’t taken a wrong turn 10 years ago. I look around at the state my life is in and know that, if I don’t do something about it right now, I’ll still be here this time next year. And I look at my beautiful, terminally ill neighbour, who had a million things she was going to do, but who will never get the chance to do them now. I subscribe to the idea that we need to do things today if we want some changes. My biggest fear is to reach old age (maybe 70) and regret the actions I didn’t make when I had to, so I do understand your approach. It’s setting intentions so that my subconscious works on the how while I’m asleep so that my conscious mind is in a positive state of motivation to get it done when I wake up. Some days it’s AA related, others I’m looking for healthy recipes, sometimes I just look for inspiring memes. Without fail, I can find something motivational on Pinterest. I really like the one question… leading the comments and the conversation is quite lovely. I’m gushing, sorry! What do I do to motivate myself? Honestly I don’t know. Right now, I am in the midst of motivation heaven. I have the willpower to control my eating (rather needed after a couple of years of not), I have found it in myself to attack two teenagers’ bedrooms, which is rather like tackling Mount Everest, and I am writing more consistently than in a long time. But I can’t switch off! So right now, motivation is easy. Two weeks ago I could not find it for toffee. I love TED talks, but sometimes need motivation to watch them!! Having noticed I have some, I am at least making the most of it! I do watch TED talks from time to time, but I usually watch Impact Theory episodes which I find very thought-provoking. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply I read a book, listen to music, or make a list of my dreams/goals. Sometimes just reminding myself of what I want and assessing how important they are to me motivates me. I normally write on my blog and I feel refreshed and think to myself that next time I should be writing better than this and that makes me try to do better and that’s a motivation for me. I listen to the same songs which are a favorite of mine and feel good . I talk to people whom I can connect with and their passion about certain things makes me feel motivated. It could be silly but the spark when they talk about it is felt. Oh yes, last but not least , I draw and for me it’s the highest form of motivation!
