I believe that the best job in the world is being a writer. A writer is only limited by his/hers own imagination (at least, at first…before editors and stuff). A writer can explore worlds that didn’t exist before that exploration. A writer can create life and death.
The great thing about writing is that we can begin to express our own personality. We have all the freedom to say whatever we feel like saying. The best thing about this is, that we can even postiively contribute to the lives of others! 🙂
Yes, I totally agree with you! That level of freedom is rare in other jobs.

We can as writers create worlds that never were before and create weird things beyond comprehension in the real world. I love being a writer of my blog and my books published and the ones under development.
I don’t really think that there is a “best job” since a lot of it can depend on where you are in the world. An actor for example is an amazing job in the US but in different places where the movie world is not as advanced and popular it would be a nightmare. You would hardly get hired and the jobs you could get could be bad as well. The same could go as a writer (unless you cater to a broader audience)
I mean even to a certain person. One might love being a doctor for example but the conditions can be greatly different in different countries which would make said person lose the love he had for that job completely.

The jobs that are all about helping others. Food pantries, shelters, etc. it’s such a heartwarming and humbling opportunity.
Game tester. They pay you to play, find bugs and write gaming guides. I think they pay you quite well also. On the same line, game architect. And I don’t mean programmer. You design a game than others need to make real.
All humans have a natural drive to express their personality and unique self in whatever they are doing. Some have a greater needs than others. Some do it whilst practicing their hobbies, others have taken it so far that they made it their profession and earn a living from it.
In this respect, I believe anything that allows someone to express their personality and uniqueness in their job is the best job in the world. Examples are writers, musicians, actors, philosophers etc.
I don’t only say this because these may potentially be the most ‘enjoyable’ jobs, but also because the people doing these things are playing an infinite game. To play an infinite game, means that it can’t end. Simply said, these jobs will never go out of fashion, nor will they be ‘replaced’ by any upcoming AI or Tech trends. They will always be around because expressing your own personality in an authentic way, can never be replaced by anyone ever. 🙂
Whatever job makes you genuinely happy. You could earn pennies, or have the most obscure job which everyone else sees as mundane. But if it gives you a kick and the satisfaction to make you genuinely happy then you can’t beat it. There is a ‘best job in the world’ out there for everyone and to each individual it would be different… I believe.
Although some may not get paid a lot for what they do, I think the best job in the world is a TEACHER, because they have the ability to impart knowledge, wisdom, and understanding to others that can cause them to excel in or withdraw from life. The greatest thing about this job is that it comes in various forms, such as academic instructors, parents, leaders, coaches, motivators, etc.
And being a good teacher is very hard because it implies a great amount of work to make different people with different personalities to get interested in whatever that teacher has to say.
Yes, teaching can be real hard, as with other endeavors. Nevertheles, the harder it is, the more detemination we must have to reach our goal, and we can because the Great Teacher, the Great, Coach, and the Great Motivator, Jesus Christ will give us all the strength (spiritually, mentally, and pysically) that we need to make it happen.
I know there are more “important” jobs but if it was a job to just bring me pure joy and happiness it would be that. Reasons being, they’re stinking cute, they waddle, look like they’re wearing a Tuxedo and fall over a lot. Too much cute.
Being a writer like you said (making your own work schedule is a huge bonus) and/or taking care of animals that were hurt by humans and protecting them and other animals from humans… (mostly cats in my case)

I think my dream job would be Cat Psychologist :)) We have two cats, but none is too sane: the big one is antisocial and the little one is just crazy and with batteries ON all the time. 🙂

I don’t really think that there is a “best job” since a lot of it can depend on where you are in the world.
