  1. Obviously, not enough. Bjt I’m recognizing my “voice” for dreams isn’t the “voice” that tears those dreams down.

  2. As a want to be writer, I work on it probably thirty to forty hours a week. I try to view it as a job that I need to work on as many hours as anyone would work at an outside job. Admittedly, it doesn’t always happen. I try though.

  3. Most of them, in one way or another. I got rid of everything so that I have no choice but to keep pushing forward towards my dreams. Nothing else to do.

      1. I am so terrible with time. I struggle between getting started, and then having to stop. My inner drive is pretty much a locomotive that never stops. I’m just really terrible at leaping on to moving trains; and also resent having to jump off.

      2. Yes, because I can’t just do one thing to the exclusion of all else. That’s selfish and unsustainable. I’m the laser vision of Sauron, I tend to lose perspective.

      3. This is the reason a schedule is required. You can do one thing for an hour and another for the next hour and so on. This way you start and do the things you want whilst you not ignore other aspects. Do you think this could be helpful to you?

      4. Yes. But I’ve never been very disciplined. I delineate “space” with my responsibilities. When I’m at work, I’m a teacher. When I’m at home, I’m a mum and wife. Just always stretched out taking care of things in the back ground, knowing when stuff needed to be done. It’s bringing my “arms, legs, and awareness” back into myself to do what I want. And when you’re so small it’s easy for time to get away from you.

      5. Well, the space has been delimited for you by the environment. If you want to work on your dreams, even for an hour, maybe it would be useful to change the environment for that hour so you can be whatever you want to be just as you are teacher at work and mum and wife at home.

      1. Well, my dream is largely dependant on a PC and, for the past couple of months, the one I own got spoilt and it. sort of put a pause on my dream.

  4. For me, it’s hard to estimate because I’m not doing it all at once, but I think it’s somewhere around 5 hours per day so it’s about 35 hours per week I guess.

      1. Thank you! 🙂 But still it’s a struggle because I have a 40 hours work week on my normal job.

      2. That’s why it’s your dream. You wouldn’t put that much effort into it if it wasn’t something you were driven to do. And more people would be so much more satisfied in their lives if they actually pursued their dreams, not just “hope and wish” for them.

  5. Hmmm. 40 hrs as in full time for me, perhaps. 🙂 Well, I’m counting the hours I spend in my current job which, by the way, I consider a stepping stone to reaching my dreams. Beyond that full-time job, I have other sidelines, too. So probably I got 50 hrs weekly for my dream.

  6. Great question! One that has been on the top of my mind lately. Not enough, like most. However, I have set in motion a plan to fix that. Both my children and I haven’t been able to quite get in the swing of things since our move and school districts changed/school times changed… So, we created schedules for ourselves to serve as reminders to do the things we have to do, the things we love to do, and what we want to do! Great timing!
