  1. I think sometimes they can, if you have a hard time understanding their origin. I’ve seen many people use quotes from the Bible, and twist them for their person mind games.

    2. People that don’t live with God’s purpose and use quotes …why they do that? Priest has his role for this is you wanna know the truth about the mind game that someone plays. The Holly Bible is full of morale and right paths for living. Peace, love, faith and every warming truths. If I understand you what you wanna say. I see that you had read the Bible. God bless us all.       1. Some people choose to learn the things according to their choices. That’s why they prefer motivational stuff more rather than The Bible……

  2. I don’t think quotes are that confusing. Instead it is the way people use that particular quote outside of the context in which the quote originated. It is the manipulation of facts outside of the context of the situation that allow for these “truths” to be turned in to deceptions
    There is also the aspect that there are often too many quotes and they conflict with each other so how is one expected to discern their own path and mind if there is far too much bullshit to try to sort through? Thus, I like to avoid quotes and just make up my own

  3. A quote is generally used to emphasis someone’s thoughts… I suspect it is not the quote so much as it is the mindset of the individual who views the quote and the subject matter being discussed when the quote is being posted..

    Example; I may be having a conversation with a person who rants and raves and who’s hat size is higher than their I.Q. , I might say;

    “Sometimes it’s better to keep one’s mouth shut and appear stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt” Mark Twain

  4. Quotes are not confusing. they are just from people who have different personalities and understanding of life trying their best to pass on messages. Personally I love reading and interpreting them.

    Yet not all of them apply to all individuals and all situations.

    It’s best to use the useful ones and forget about the ones that don’t appeal to you.

  6. Well, seeing as I just put up a post about a book where all of the characters kept asking for “toilet water” and I had to ask my readers “… What’s up with all the toilet water?? Do they drink it? Where it??” and one of my readers pointed out that it was probably a play in eau de toilette…. I used to work in perfume… Funny that went right over my head! 😅😂

  7. Some quotes are interesting… though I’m not a fan of the positive quote movement…they can inspire us for a few moments, but rarely make a long-lasting difference to our lives.

  8. Quote: a set/phrase of words. More you hear it, more the tendency to believe it. If you hear it with an inspirational or depressing story, it affects your inner core. That’s why they say it’s not appropriate to mess up with the words of a saying or quote. When I’ll say something, it’ll be a sentence, but when a credible/famous person will say something, it’ll be a quote. Coz people will try to follow it, people will get something to believe in, people will get another story to tell. Yes, it can be misleading, not because what that man said was wrong, rather what you thought in particular might be different. You may have agreed to what he said due to the power in his words or his way to deliver, but it may not be the best way. Yes, it is misleading because what you could do might have been much better than what that famous personality should conclude.

  10. I believe that quotes can be seen as confusing because they are not used because they are specific, but because they are ambiguous. Through them we can think about whatever that quote will spark in us which is different from one person to another, but it can also be different for ourselves from one moment to another especially if that quote can relate with two almost opposite ideas. This last thing can indeed create confusion.
