These are what I work on giving myself. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn’t… ‘tis life…
You live. You learn. You do better next time on occasion so that you can obtain confidence and happiness which give you freedom.
Specially praying, reading, running 🏃♀️, writing, talking with friends and family, and other things give me the chance to “give me this”… it is all about how I handle myself which gives me the preferred outcome of confidence and happiness which lead to freedom.
Dancing or playing air guitar and drums. Bike rides at the shore. Being home. Loving and playing with pets. Laying on the beach. Sunday morning back roads with the top down on a warm summer morning.
The bike rides at the shore and laying on the beach are only a few times a year. Sunday morning rides are every so often. Being home and pets as often as I can. Dancing to music in some way almost every day. I forgot to add, the drive home from work makes me feel free.
Feeling loved and accepted and safe are merely invisible chains and collars that connect individuals to one another. It gives one the semblance of freedom, when really it is another form of restraint masked as constraint.
Music, dancing, leisure, pleasure, art, food, enjoyment, without the worries of “who is going to provide? Who is going to do this or that”
Childhood and lack of responsibility allow for those desirable moments that allow one to taste that delicious “freedom”.
Every day, I say to myself – survived another meal. Always stressed about what the next day’s dinner for my family. So after I whip something up from thin air, that’s what I say.
Realising that I am. That I can choose what I want to do / be. It might not be a good idea to implement some of those choices (like staying in bed rather than going to work) though 😉
It’s hard for me also. Lol! But I think I know one or two people that I am completely comfortable around. In the case of me, I believe that I am so used to being judged, that being judged is now the expectation. So I assume that I’m being judged when I might not be. 🤷🏽♀️ it’s quite a conundrum.
Actually many times. But often times it’s me that contains myself. I tend to make decisions that I think other people will like. Hope I can be more independent.
I do them on a regular basis, depending on the season. In the summer time I take my interests outside, while in the winter time I don’t run that much, but I compensate it with other types of movement and with dancing.
Travelling alone is a luxury for me. I am satisfied if I can do it at least once a year.
The freest I’ve ever felt is when I whittled everything I own down to 3 boxes, my computer, and my cats. I asked myself, “Do you own your things or do your things own you?”
Confidence and happiness.
