Surround yourself with greatness

This time of the year allows us to get together with most of our family and friends. In my opinion, this is a great opportunity to observe what kind of an influence those people have over our lives. Friends and family are great sources of joy or frustration. It is important to know each is each in order for us to be confident about the lives we have.

Think about how you feel when you’re with those people. Do you feel the same with everyone? If not, why so? Can you tell which of those interactions help you and which don’t?  In order to be great, we need to surround ourselves with greatness so it can sip into us. You cannot expect to have a healthy body if you only eat junk food, can you? The same thing applies to our mindset as well. In order to have a great mindset, we need to surround ourselves with those types of mindsets, otherwise the change is not possible (this is why I try to learn as much as I can from the people that have the type of mindset I want to have).

Are you surrounding yourself with greatness every day? Why or why not?

  1. I have to do this right now. 🖤It’s what’s keeping me alive. 💔 I’m Not surrounded greatness in the traditional material sense valued by this world, but loved ones people who care for me and can contribute to build me up not tear me down. These people are literally my super heroes🤗 I truly love your post 🙂 💞

  2. Hey there!
I’ve heard this so many times. “If you want to be successful, you have to rub elbows with the successful.” Basically, hang out with who you want to be like.
    Great post!

  3. Words of wisdom indeed. Its taken me many years to put this into practice. I have created my own tribe, like @dmcmom they help me thrive and keep me alive.

      1. Survival was my motivation. After having attachment issues with my birth family, and feeling unworthy for most of my life, my main achievement has been to grieve for the love and support I never had and to create authentic and loving relationships to lean on. After all, we can’t change our birth families, but we sure as hell can create happy and healthy ones of our own. I hope you bask in the glow in the ones who truly love you.
