Empathy lets you relate to the world and people around you in a meaning full way. without empathy – who would care?

To be understanding and objective with our thoughts and judgments about others. Too often subjective thinking gets in the way of understandings and acknowledging others and their way of life.
It depends on various things. Like what you are doing should not only benefit you but should also help others. Sometimes you might not like what you are doing, but you are doing as it is right thing to do..

I’d say ignorance, not in a lack of knowledge sorta way, but more of an “Ignorance is bliss” way
Eeep… what are the options? Cognition? Empathy? Compartmentalisation? Working memory? I don’t know..?!
Well, choose your options 🙂
An open mind… enables me to see things that many do not… 🙂
That’s a great ability indeed. 🙂

Yes! Awesome! That’s actually what my book is based on.
Doubts. Having second thoughts leads to deep introspection changing minds not blindly trusting.
ECHO ECHO
True! Doubts bring questions and questions bring answers even if we like it or not.
Empathy –
Why empathy?
Empathy lets you relate to the world and people around you in a meaning full way. without empathy – who would care?

Is this state similar to present awareness?
not exactly, more like a state of unawareness. i was leaning towards sensory deprivation; a quieting of both sns & cns.
I agree with Tomas, empathy and patience.
Patience becomes such an rare asset these days…
so very, very true…………bless you!

Agree 100%
Yeah, well, once we manage to get over ourselves and notice whatever is happening without interpreting, we can get to the next level.
Hmm…😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😍😍😍😉😉😉😉😉🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩😀😀😀😀😀😆😆😆
Observation: as the one quote I recall, “The sign of high intelligence comes when one can observe without judgment.” We have to teach ourselves.
In my opinion, the “without judgment” part is crucial. Without it, we’re still stuck in our own head…
All of the above 😉
I guess that’s we have all of them 🙂
To be able to calm my worrisome mind
Nice! How do you do that?
Learning meditation
reasoning I reckon? I thought learning at first but unless you can reason what you learn to weigh it and put it in perspective its not complete.
Very true! I guess the reasoning is the part that makes the learning to really have an impact.
To have compassion for other people is a lovely quality to have.
This is what a community is made of 🙂
To know when it has reached the limits of it’s own usefulness and should give space for the spirit, heart and body ylto give their wisdoms too.
That requires a great level of self-awareness!
Reblogged this on Author S. L. Danielson and commented:
Adaptability. I wouldn’t have gotten through these past years without it.
I’ve heard people saying that we’re the most adaptable species on the face of this Earth. Thank you so much for your reblog! 😀
You’re welcome! I agree that we are, but wow do we resist change sometimes.
Observation and understanding. You need to be able to observe everything around you and understand it so you can do what ever it is you need to do.
True! And it is very helpful if you can understand it from other’s point of view.
To be understanding and objective with our thoughts and judgments about others. Too often subjective thinking gets in the way of understandings and acknowledging others and their way of life.
The ability to separate between the self and the thoughts is a huge asset in life. With it we can truly understand others too.
I don’t think any one is acutely more important than the others.

I agree. However insight into ones own habitual ways of thinking is valuable. Empathy is probably one my most valued qualities in a person.
Yeah. But what I’m saying is, each of these abilities have their uses in different situations.
It’s the difference between Chess and Checkers. 😜
Yes. I agree 😊
Well, yeah because they all act together 🙂
One’s ability to think critically.
What does critical thinking mean to you?
Memory
Why memory?
Think Alzheimer’s
Fair point.
To see each aspect of any situation and act in right way
What do you think this “right way” depends of?
It depends on various things. Like what you are doing should not only benefit you but should also help others. Sometimes you might not like what you are doing, but you are doing as it is right thing to do..
I’d say ignorance, not in a lack of knowledge sorta way, but more of an “Ignorance is bliss” way
So the ability to see and acknowledge things without letting them affect you, right?
Perfectly said, for reason being, if one doesn’t let the judgment of others affect their being, then nothing can get in the way of self-progression.
Adaptability … Nothing is ever certain, but change. The mental acuity to do so is paramount to All other mental tasks or we become stymied.
The quicker we can adapt, the higher the chances to improve.
Memory, because of you can’t remember, what’s there to forget?
Nice touch! 😀
Patience as without it we may lose everything ..
Yes! That’s very true!
No mental thinks
How come?
Stability
