It certainly is Alib, I find it very strange and rude that wherever I go, a pub, restaurant or cafe, people who are sat together don’t actually talk to each other because they’re on their Facebook or some other social media app chatting to someone else. It’s weird!!

So true. I have had people do it on dates, if you can believe it! I can’t believe how it has become such common place that it is seen as acceptable. One of the things I loved about my significant other is that our first date was 2.5 hours of conversation and neither of us looked at our phone once. I miss talking to people!

Oh yes! We all speak, but very few of us actually have conversations.
Ability to be tolerant. People these days aren’t able to accept people that have different views to their own. This has created a society where people are afraid to be open about opinions due to fear of being persecuted
Ability to keep your perspective. With all the we vs. they, fake news vs. truth, fear vs. love, it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain a balance and keep a positive perspective.
Ability to adapt to change anywhere we find ourselves.

Resiliency and Responsibility. People have a hard time overcoming tumultuous times but also want to blame others instead of accepting their role in what is happening.
since all are imbued with skill(s), then with nurturing and application, one person’s craft can be utilized to improve upon the proficiency of the other. imo, the value is in identification and application of the skill, not the skill itself. skill is an ingredient that in confluence yields the recipe of mankind.
Communication. Within my own experience I have often seen that a lack of communication can lead to undesirable results. Without direct communication, individuals are left to guess and assume about what another person is thinking. I think being able to communicate openly and objectively are important skills to learn.
Empathy. Being able to understand, I mean, REALLY understand, where someone else is coming from makes it easier to understand why they make the decisions that they make.
Commination…Because, then we can understand there religion very well…there will be no discrimination between us…we will learn to respect each other…we will learn to love them… religion is one of the biggest problem in our whole world…For which these discrimination between us is made…And I am Muslim…Maybe most of the people don’t like Muslim people… because they think that we are terrorist…But personally I hate terrorist… because they do this bad things in the name of religion… Which is so bad things…So, I think that communication is the most important part…😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😎😎😎😎😎😎😉😉😉😉😉😉🤗🤗🤗😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😀😀😀😀😀😀
The art of conversation, because it’s a dying art in the real world.
Ooo I like this one as well. True, engaging conversation is hard to find!

The ability to forgive, because it is in woefully short supply.
It is…
😌
The ability to adapt in situations. To have cultural flexibility.
True! How do you think one can achieve that?
Ability to be tolerant. People these days aren’t able to accept people that have different views to their own. This has created a society where people are afraid to be open about opinions due to fear of being persecuted
Yep. It’s like we go back in time where there was no freedom of speech instead of evolving.
Ability to keep your perspective. With all the we vs. they, fake news vs. truth, fear vs. love, it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain a balance and keep a positive perspective.
I agree! Especially because opinions are everywhere so it became harder to maintain the personal one (if there is a personal perspective).
The ability to stay mentally stable.
In your opinion, what threatens that?
Society.
Empathy
If we have empathy, we can understand others… this could bring peace in our world.
That’s the way it should go!
Ability to adapt to change anywhere we find ourselves.

How can this be developed in time?
Well, I think a conscious effort to develop this ability is a must.
Then a forever inquisitive and open mind.
Confidence in yourself (something which I’ve been working on a lot lately)
That’s great! What determined you to start working on this?
So that I could be happier with myself and my life
The ability to adapt to constant change happening around us is important to stay relevant in today’s world.
True! What happened with Nokia is a negative example for this.
Resiliency and Responsibility. People have a hard time overcoming tumultuous times but also want to blame others instead of accepting their role in what is happening.
Well, people love to feel good about themselves and admitting we’re wrong or that we screwed something up does the opposite…
The ability to adapt to change.
What was the biggest change you had to adapt to?
My husband being out as transgender

Interesting perspective! Yes, knowing the skills we have and applying them in the right situations is more important.
Communication. Within my own experience I have often seen that a lack of communication can lead to undesirable results. Without direct communication, individuals are left to guess and assume about what another person is thinking. I think being able to communicate openly and objectively are important skills to learn.
I totally agree! In my opinion, improving our communication skills will solve so many problems…
The ability to both recognize that the world will hurt you, and yet still enter the world and do what needs to be done.
So courage? 🙂
Yep
Knowledge. But someone with to much knowledge cannot be trusted. They will only harm and destroy you.
Not necessarily. Knowledge itself doesn’t hurt. What we do with it can hurt and that is related to one’s personal beliefs.
Empathy. Being able to understand, I mean, REALLY understand, where someone else is coming from makes it easier to understand why they make the decisions that they make.
In a selfish world, empathy is more valuable than gold 🙂
Communication is indeed a very important part of this world. And I think that religion itself isn’t a problem. The people are the problem.
Yeah right…but there is misunderstanding between us…I don’t who is behind…😁😊😊😉😉😉😎😎😃😃😄😄😀😀😀😀🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I don’t believe in ‘one’ most valuable skill. However I believe communication is an important one
Poor communication can create problems…
Indeed
I agree with all the Communication suggestions as long as listening and trying to understand is part of it.
In my opinion, those are mandatory for the communication process to be complete. Otherwise, there is no communication.
Active listening, where we use clarifying questions. Bogdan excells at this. -Rebecca
Thank you very much for your kind words! I believe there is lots of room for improvement 🙂
