      1. Wow – the mentally unhealthy would have to be attempts at self harm. Certainly I did my kids no favors bu not following through with self care, or medication or therapy.
Fun. Might be the tandem jump from an airplane, if you’re into thrills. Going to Vegas? That is a crazy place to people watch.

      2. Some of it was being told that it was all imagination or attention seeking. Some of it was finances at various times. A tremendous amount of shame at needing help. “We rise above it” is a family motto that is destructive as hell.

  1. Perhaps bungie jumped? I’ve skydived, and honestly it wasn’t scary — too high up to register, perhaps.

But bungie jumping was awful. NEVER AGAIN!

  2. Stood on a table in a dining hall and made a speech that started with, “Friends, Romans, Countrymen – lend me your ears…” This was during Girls Camp and in response to pranks played on my friends and I. Enough was enough!!! I delivered the speech of a lifetime.

  3. I read your question and chuckled, then leaned back in the chair. And in front of me was a library card file of crazy to choose from. I thought for a few minutes, went through several drawers of examples and kept saying to myself nah. I was overwhelmed with choices. What I will say is I’m glad I did a lot of things, that some might view as crazy. I’m glad I survived.

    1. It’s amazing if you had many choices. You truly live your life as much as possible. Were those situations meant to be crazy or that’s how they turned out to be?

      1. A little of both. Some spontaneous and some planned. Funny how I have thought about this question and all its different variations. I might have to do a post about it.

  4. I have quite a long list, but I would say that the craziest was to quit my job, my apartment, my friends, the city I have been living in for seven years and even my Country when I was 29 to pack everything, move abroad and start life from zero to be with someone I had met only a few months before and with complicated circumstances. My mum, at least, would totally agree this was the craziest of them all 🙂

  5. I was at the top of my career, and I decided to quit, move to another city, and stay at home and leave it all behind. It was crazy and there are days I regret it, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

      1. I have two daughters. One was 5 at the time, and I was pregnant with the other. My husband had gotten a job in another city, and we realized we could not fit in to that house anymore with a baby on the way. I wanted to be at home and raise our children. That was the most important thing in the whole world to me. Then my husband and I decided to just bite the bullet and move to the city where his new job was (instead of him driving over an hour every day back and forth). I miss being a nurse, but I wouldn’t change being an at home mom for anything. It was so crazy for me to do that, but it was the best choice for our daughters. 🙂
