The tongue is a fantastic organ! You Use it for speech, taste and decorative/culture ( tongue piercing). It’s a strong arsenal in your body. Tongue is a blessing and also your nemesis. It can make the difference between life & death, joy & sorrow.

Can make or break the relationship. Can sooth you or hurt you.  With the same tongue we praise the Lord and curse the people. It can easily put one’s foot in one’s mouth !

Is your tongue ruining your life ? Relax…it is possible to keep tongue under check !

  1. speak less;
  2. speak with sincerity;
  3. speak with grace;
  4. speak kindly;
  5. don’t gossip.

Listen to what wise men said……

“For every kind of beasts,and of birds,and of serpents,and of things in the sea,is tamed.and hath been tamed of mankind.But the tongue can no man tame.It is an unruly evil,full of deadly poison.” JAMES 3: 7-8

“The tongue is like a sharp knife….kills without drawing a blood.” Buddha.

“Better slip with foot,than tongue.”    Benjamin Franklin

“Whatever is in the heart will come up to the tongue”.  Persian Proverb

” At table keep a short hand,in company keep a short tongue”  Turkish Proverb.

“It is better to bite your tongue than to eat your words”.  Frank Sonnenberg

“Talk with your mind before you talk with your tongue”. Anonymous

“The tongue is but a small sot flesh.Yet it is capable of breaking the strongest bonds and destroying the most powerful relationships”.  Yasir Quadhi

  1. I’ve let things slip without thinking of the consequences – some funny, some hurtful. It takes practice to pace yourself and thinking before you speak. I’m working on it, and trying to remember I have two ears and one mouth for a reason.
