  1. Hmmm… well I can’t say anything about black cats because I share my house with one. I prefer not to walk under ladders, but that more of a safety thing. I would like to say that when my palms itch it means I’m coming into some money, but my palms inch an the time and I’m still poor.

  2. I don’t really believe in superstitions. However, I do think about the sayings quite often. Even today! I was talking to a friend and said “knock on wood.” I don’t really believe that knocking on wood will actually change any outcomes. I find it interesting how just hearing these sayings throughout life can grind reminders into my head. For me, it’s an automatic afterthought followed by “whatever…”

    1. Very interesting! So it seems we’re developing some behavioral patterns that we don’t really believe they have any influence, but we still do it on auto-pilot.

      1. Its working good for me actually it helps in ways I can’t Explain.

      1. They say ‘don’t leave your sandals outside overnight’ and therefore insist I pack ‘every’ sandal inside every day, me being the last born.
They also believe that, by culture, the last born must be the one to do all house chores.

  3. The only one I really don’t do is picking up pennies on tails. I don’t know why, but I’ve always been afraid I’ll get bad luck, mostly cuz I’m taking someone else’s change but also because it’s on tails.
