Sometimes just needs must. Besides do you ever look at those in traffic around you? They don’t smile. Singing gives you a rush of dopamine, I’d rather be singing, destressing and be happy at the end of it with no voice than sit grumpy in my car lol

I try not to think about those in traffic because I wouldn’t be singing :))))

Work stresses me out to the point where I want to curl up in a ball and pretend it doesn’t exist. LOL Not really, but my job is stressful. I stay motivated to walk out the door by telling myself that the place would fall apart if I didn’t go.
That’s pretty much it. Plus the fact that I’m in a place where the availability of well-paying jobs in this area that utilize my skill set are few and far between, and I can’t afford to leave without having another job lined up. I’m working on that. The resumes are submitted. Now, I just need to get an interview or two followed by the job offer.

Stress is a motivator for me. It feels exciting to know that I actually have that much to do or to even worry about. On second thought, maybe I am just a productive person with bad habits.
Remembering that stress tends to be transient. It sucks now, but I can go home and put it aside, tomorrow will present a fresh way to address the stress in a more productive way.
Stress = stimulated, tense, edgy, saturated, stultifying. The only cure is long walk, glass of wine or cuppa and sleep. To motivate through stress can be reckless It is a call from the body to the brain saying STOP.
Yes, and also that there may be opportunity to change embedded in the stressful situation. We don’t always love the thought of changing! At least, that’s my theory…
I feel stressed when I have too many work tasks looming. I find I am motivated to push on when I accomplish a task, even a small one. So if I am worrying that I haven’t yet updated a spreadsheet (that takes me just a few minutes), I just do it then cross it off the list. Once I get started, the stress tends to dissipate, at least for a while.
Try to breathe (when I remember it ahah)… and think that nothing is permanent, so quoting Thomas above “Remembering that stress tends to be transient. It sucks now, but I can go home and put it aside, tomorrow will present a fresh way to address the stress in a more productive way.”
The key is not putting myself in situations to get stressed out. However, should it occur I try to handle it as any other thing I face, which is with lots of self-acceptance and baby steps, walking one step at a time.
I am writing about the thing… Because, it’s helps me a lot..and second thing I like to stay alone and peace for sometimes…😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😬😬😬😬😬🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉
I love singing, so I usually sing to destress
I love watching series, so will binge watch
I reward myself with favourite things after completing tasks on my list.
I don’t. The stress means I need to chill out so I do.
That’s the healthiest approach 🙂
I sing–to myself–Summertime Rolls by Jane’s Addiction. It was me and my first loves song. Sappy I know, but it works.
If it does the job, it doesn’t matter if it’s sappy or not. Actually, it’s somehow romantic 🙂
Dance it out in the kitchen or singing loudly in the car, either way music is involved
Oh yeah! I do the singing in the car thing a lot!

Hmm… besides the need for money, what makes you go there?

Maybe is a productive type of stress, and not a destructive one 🙂 What “bad habits” do you have?
Remembering that stress tends to be transient. It sucks now, but I can go home and put it aside, tomorrow will present a fresh way to address the stress in a more productive way.
Very nice! So stepping out of that situation and addressing it another day is what helps you dealing with it. 🙂
Stress = stimulated, tense, edgy, saturated, stultifying. The only cure is long walk, glass of wine or cuppa and sleep. To motivate through stress can be reckless It is a call from the body to the brain saying STOP.
Can stress also be a way our brain signals the body that it doesn’t know how to deal with a certain situation? Or that it doesn’t want to?
Yes, and also that there may be opportunity to change embedded in the stressful situation. We don’t always love the thought of changing! At least, that’s my theory…
Read a book while listening to soft music.
Does this always help you?
Most of the time.
Step back, reassess, get a coffee, snack, and listen to music
It is a very nice approach! Stepping back allows you to see things from a different perspective and I guess that’s what helps you…
It helps most of the time 🙂

Yes! So all we want is start and the stress tends to dissipate! Thank you for reading and for your valuable insights! 😀
I go minute by minute and try to keep going.
So you try to push through no matter how tough things are?
Basically
Music and prayer help me a lot
That’s great! I also use music and motivational videos to go through stressful times 🙂

Yes, nothing is permanent. And life is full of circles 🙂
I don’t stress out. I am immune. Working in the busy ER, I get used with the situation.
That is AWESOME! So stress is not so big of a deal in your life, right?
No.
I try to focus on what I can do instead of what I can’t.
Does it always work for you?

One step at a time is the key of achieving anything 🙂

Laughter if you will, but I have an mp3 of Helen Reddy’s I am Woman that I listen to…
As long as it does its job, it’s not laughter material 😛

That’s awesome! How stressful is your daily life?
Pretty stressful, cos I am studying and working at the same time. Along with giving tuitions and part time job…
