  1. Easy and hard is relative. I think most people think there is a difficultly in doing so. “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”

  2. It’s hard. Probably one of the number one things I struggle with. I can’t elaborate more than that, but I will keep an eye on this post in case I can learn something from others.

  3. For me is a bit different I have under control in a way, bipolar 2 rapid cycle so, I m in and out with no notice but, when I quickly turn to the Lord, the down is shorter.

  4. Ooh very interesting question! I’ve never thought about the transition between them. Maybe it happens instantly.
Say I’ve been feeling bad for hours, or even all day long. Then something distracts me, a meme on instagram, a text from my boyfriend, or an idea for a blog post! I pick myself up and do some exercise or talk to my roommates. Physically leaving my room and then socializing definitely helps.

  5. Pretty hard, usually i breath for a few minutes think about God’s inspirational words; verily with every hardship comes ease, i don’t know what’s gonna happen, i dont see a solution but i know one thing for sure indeed my lord is with me, if you are grateful i will give you more (my favorites) then rush off to the mirror and receite my mantra.

  6. This to will pass. You can live in anger hate, or release it – conscious effort to understand why you feel negative release it, and change (some times a bit of Tequila helps)

  7. That is a work in progress. My diagnosis mean that I’m a disaster at that very thing lol-however I am learning to get better at reminding myself what are the facts about the situation. Sometimes, I use my grounding techniques or call a close friend. Sometimes, I just have to realize that the person who brought it on (it’s not a me thing every time) is a complete ass of a person. I can’t change them. But I can change my response.

  8. Just being aware now that getting out of a negative emotion state is the thing to do and realizing it as fast as possible just makes life better. I’m getting much better at it as I age. And I get a lot of practice at it with my job. What helps me do it is realizing how lucky I am maybe in another area or just thinking there are others far worse off. Sometimes its realizing that some people just aren’t worth the time or worry. I also try to move to another activity if I can to help right the ship.

  9. I’ll be honest. Self talk helps. + Siti6ng in nature.. It depends on situation .. but it takes around an hour i guess.. yep. Sometimes more. 🙂

  10. It is hard, because I want to give credence to the negative emotion and act on it…it is a difficult learning experience to truly know not every single negative emotion needs to be heeded. Through experience, heeding negative emotions has benefitted me very little.
I now practice mindfulness. I am just a beginner, but with daily practice of 10 to 20 minutes I can now tap into my awareness almost whenever I need. I do that, allow the negative emotion to wash over me, just observe it and all the chaos it causes in my mind and body, and after 30 seconds or up to 5 minutes, the emotion disappears. It is then easy to replace those thoughts with more positive ones.
A technique I am trying to develop is to understand everything in this universe has a cause, including those things that lead to my negative emotions. Causes are blameless. If you meditate on the cause of your negativity, for example, say it is a response to a rude colleague, you will soon realize the colleague is acting based on prior causes that he or she has no control over. At any single moment in time, our behaviours are dictated by causes out of our control. People need to learn to change, and the ability to learn is also something that needs to be learned. In the end, a negative emotion has very little ‘justification’ to exist.

    1. Very interesting! I guess that in the end, every negative emotion is related to our own perception and once that changes, the emotion is not negative anymore.

  11. Unfortunately, most of us have not been able to manifest our emotions constructively. Emotions are similar to thoughts, they are mental concepts until put into action. So ideally, we should be processing our emotions mentally before acting them out. Unfortunately society has thought us to be reactive to most of the emotions that are known to be manifested externally ( ex: anger, jealousy, excitement). But, we should be able to remain “stable” regardless of what emotion we are experiencing.
In other words, it is extremely easy. Unless we spend time seeking mental stableness, “mind control” ; like those who practice Buddhism.

Easier said than done of course 🤦🏾‍♂️😂

    1. Oh yeah! When it comes with controlling our emotions, it’s easier said than done. The good thing is that we can learn to do it 🙂
