    1. He was Mr.Brady from the Brady bunch. He had all the right advice in life. He thought logically and was always honest and truthful. I try do the same for my kids.

  1. MADONNA for sheer determination. And for being one of the first female performers to reach an Iconic status. She was also incredibly Talented in many ways and could have had a career as a Professional Dancer. She worked very hard to get where she is today. From a young age. She’s very powerful and I grew up listening to her music and I loved seeing all her different looks and transformations. She is attractive, versatile and interesting. I don’t always like all her songs or agree with all her viewpoints but in essence yes I admire her. I do like most of her songs though! And I have lots of her music.

“Desperately Seeking Susan” was one great movie! She was super cool in that and to this day I would LOVE a jacket like the one she wore in the movie with the Pyramid on the back. 🙂 She is creative and expressive. Independent Woman. She was a Trail Blazer and not a Path Follower. Exciting. 🙂 In a World of Conformity she burst into existence and onto the music scene and made a lot of people stop and think and a lot of people smile. 🙂 I would love to have even half the confidence of MADONNA! 🙂

      1. Self Belief. Ambition. Fearlessness. If you don’t believe in yourself no one will believe in you. She also had an awareness of her own talents and abilities. She didn’t give up. She had Vision. Everyone needs to give something to the world. When you give you get back.

      1. To believe in myself no matter what. And even if I am confronted with too many failures or too many obstacles, I should continue to seek everything that makes me me and that brings me close to my dreams.

  2. David Hume. As a student his writing really inspired me and refreshed my perspectives. And without him, we wouldn’t have Kant! His writing is interesting, cheerful, stimulating, he’s just sheer alacrity.

    1. Yes, he was indeed a very interesting person! As he demonstrated, we’ll never know whom or what we will influence with our behaviour.

  3. This is one of my favorite questions when talking to mentoring students. I have to say that I’m a collector of people I admire. Everyone has something that intrigues me. Ex.young friend, post brain surgery, inviting the lunch server at the hospital to sit and chat!

      1. I use an interview tool to help them practice interviewing others. We also ask a similar question on our small group chat sheets. One thing I like to casually ask is who inspires you- your every day superheroes. These are primarily middle school students.

      2. We also do something called The Stories Project where I get to interview people! We have something called a Legacy Interview that we use with older adults to help share their story.

  4. Hirohiko Araki for his amazing illustrations and his authoring in many manga and contributing to many charity events, plus he is very funny. (Created JoJo Bizarre Adventure)

  5. George Washington, a visionary who wanted a land free from persecution, where every man and woman would be equal, and where power came from the governed and not money or lineage. The execution has not been perfect, I’ll be the first to admit that. But few people can claim to have truly changed the world like Washington did. Some day I hope to unify the nations and bring peace to this world, but that’s a story for another day. 😉

  6. Any decent man that is brave enough to father children, loyal enough to commit to his family, strong enough to lead them through the tough times, cool enough to cut loose and have fun, and introspective enough to appreciate all of life’s little gifts.

      1. 𝙽𝚘𝚙𝚎. 𝙸’𝚖 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚊 𝚖𝚞𝚜𝚒𝚌 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛. 𝙸 𝚍𝚘 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚜𝚒𝚗𝚐, 𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑! 🥰

      1. Yes in that other.
My ability to accept myself, and others for who/what we are.
As easy as this sounds, most of our “troubles” in this world come from our lack of acceptance of others.

  8. Alive of course! Dead are dead they gone forever and never will be back. Means they don’t exist. You can use memories about them but only to learn from them not feeling sad. ☀️

    1. Awesome! Our parents have the biggest influence on us over the years. When they’re awesome, we have the potential to be awesome too!

      1. My dad had a brain quite like Stephen Hawking so we used to have very in-depth conversations and I did follow in my fathers footsteps until the industry we were both in collapsed.
Stephen Hawking was such an incredible man, seeing what he was challenged physically every day he didn’t let it stop him doing the things he wanted to do, and then his brain and theories were just amazing and he could explain the most complex things in ways that everyone would understand. I also really agree with him when he says AI could be the downfall of man on earth. Just like The Terminator hehe 😉 Which will happen if we’re not careful.

    1. Spiderman is awesome! And the people who helps animals too. They are heroes! People can take care of themselves with their big fat brain, but animals not so much.

  9. I admire my mum the most. She taught me so many things and esp how to deal with controlling what we can and letting go of what we can’t, to fight life and illness, to be as strong and independent as I can be and to know it’s ok ask for help when we need it. She’s battled breast cancer and lives with fibromyalgia get she is still an amazing grandmother to my kids and lifts and lays us and spoils us the best she can. If I’m any way an amazing mum to my kids as she is to me I’m honoured to make her proud
