Usually. I’m blessed with the antics of kittens, and their “hunts”. I have indoor pets that love on me, and a husband who tells me often that I’m all the good things. Learning how to appreciate has been a choice, and it’s one I’m glad I’ve made.

I suppose I will have to redefine happiness. My husband died 22 days ago and I’m pretty certain I will never be happy again. Perhaps I need to change my perception of what happiness looks or feels like. Not yet though. I’m still deep in my grief.
Happiness to me means making others happy. I discovered long time ago the joy making others happy especially the older and younger ones. Those who really need help.
Happiness also means loving and being loved, without love, I wonder…..
For me right now , happiness means being in my own zone ,space . having time for myself ,able to make decisions on my own ,able to do what I want when I want . writing, having a chat with myself , going to church, knowing God more . all of this is happiness to me . I am happy being me and loving me more
Happiness can be found in just about anything if your open and looking for it. Even when things aren’t they can change. It’s what I strive for in life now because I’ve dealt with the other side and that is a sad existence.
Happiness is the body and brain’s way of signifying that you are doing something it wants you to do, in my humble opinion. I think that happiness is sometimes misguiding because it was the product of an evolutionary process from when we lived in a much simpler society, and we were far less cognitively complex. However, it seems to function well in terms of attaching our growth to certain experiences and memories, and also plays a part in forming social bonds. There is an essential part for happiness to play in life, but true satisfaction, I think, comes beyond happiness, in the feeling of fulfilment.
I wish I had a more profound response, but to me happiness is the pursuit of that which you enjoy and seek to accomplish. I also think that happiness is largely the result of one’s perspective, as in seeing the glass half full instead of half empty.
Happiness for me is when I’m feeling a little cheeky and get sexy with my husband. It’s hanging out with my friends who have known me for 20+ years so I don’t need to censor myself, I can be silly, be crass and be accepted. Happiness is when my child makes a joke and I get to see more of the awesome little human they’re becoming. The rest of the time, I prefer to feel calm, at peace and feel solid in my decision making day to day. I just don’t think the aim of the game is to be happy all the time. To me that’s a myth, and an idea that can set a person up for failure.
Happiness to me means… Not being tied down against my will, love and being loved, fulfilling wishes, and doing what I love everyday and everytime. Anytime can be a happy time with the right people and doing the right thing.
Oh boy, I’ve been thinking about that for quite a long time and I don’t really think that I have an answer. Is happiness the same as satisfaction? Is happiness the same for everyone? Do we all actually want to be happy? There was a billionaire on Mike Tyson’s podcast recently who talked about happiness. He said that he doesn’t pursue happiness. It makes you think. Do we really want to be happy or do we just want to be satisfied? Is happiness a goal or something that strays us away from our goal?
Happiness means the freedom to pursue what I wish to, and any of the satisfaction that is derived of realizing that pursuit.
Great description! Do you feel happy? 🙂
Feeling healthy and having something to look forward to.
That’s awesome! I hope you experience it every day!
Not all the time, but it’s getting better for sure.
Appreciating the marvels around me without anxiety or fear.
Do you manage to feel it daily?

Without love, chaos reigns.

Why?

That’s exactly what Simon Sinek tries to transmit. Fulfillment is more important than happiness because it influences it.
I wish I had a more profound response, but to me happiness is the pursuit of that which you enjoy and seek to accomplish. I also think that happiness is largely the result of one’s perspective, as in seeing the glass half full instead of half empty.
So the ones finding happiness are the ones looking for it.

It seems that happiness for you is freedom and presence in the moment 🙂

Knowing that my parents are well and safe + my siblings, also helping others and making them happy or seeing people help people or animals. 😃
That’s nice! I hope you are happy all the time!

True! And the things get even trickier if we involve fulfillment.
Not a clue.
