There’s no guarantee it would be better. There is also the theory that this has happened, and this is why things are so absurd… Ummm, let’s not have that meteor hit next to Mexico? The one that created the dust storm that offed the dinosaurs. LikeLiked by 2 people Reply The creation of religion. It’s choked the world and humanity ever since. LikeLiked by 6 people Reply When you really think about “religion”, as it’s suppose to be…. And consider the facade people have created of its “idea”, religion really doesn’t exist. In my opinion, anyway. LikeLiked by 4 people Reply Good point. Well said. LikeLiked by 1 person Technically, religion is not a ‘one event’ unlike the question of this post. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply Maybe I should have said the first person to come up with the idea of religious concepts. If not for that first person, perhaps it would never have happened. Who knows. LikeLiked by 1 person What I meant is that different continents can initiate their own religion at same time (multiple first persons) because religion is an inevitable precursor of science as the first attempt of humankind to understand the stars in heavens (sky) by attributing its existential cause to God and so on. You could wipe your own self out of existence! If I had to choose, it would be the genocide of the Indians by the white man all those many years ago. There was no need for any of that, and I think only something positive could come from that not happening. LikeLiked by 4 people Reply The Brexit Referendum – nuff said! There would be no cities, far less overpopulation, and we would work with our environment rather than adapting it to suit our wants or needs. Of course it would also mean very little technological advancement and all our time would be spent on survival but I guess that’s the trade off. LikeLiked by 3 people Reply Nope I won’t erase it. LikeLike Reply The Norman Conquest of England as it suppressed much of the populace and denied a Brythonic future. Yes, it would change the world or at least Europe. (But there are better answers already here.) Or no 9/11 as that has had terrible consequences and will impact so much more.
