Having lived this long, I don’t think I would want to start all over again and go through a different set of pains and struggles. Instead, this is a good reminder to stop anything that would make you wish you could start over and start now where you are to do what you wish you could have done, adapting to current circumstances.

when i think about starting again I imagine a small, pretty, empty cottage in the woods. It has beautiful wooden floors and light pouring in the windows and I think about what stuff I would bring to the house and what stuff to leave behind. It always cheers me up!
