If I could start all over again, I’d only focus on my body being strong.

The hell with the numbers.

If I could start all over again, I’d go into meetings with confidence.

I have a right to be here.

If I could start all over again, I’d make more time for reading. For crafting. For being in bed.

If I could start all over again, I’d drink half my weight in ice-cold water each day.

I’d call my mom.

I’d sing as loud and as clear as my lungs would allow.

If I could start all over again, I’d tell myself to relax.

I am not responsible for the happiness of others.

If I could start all over again. . .

(She stops, and shakes her head. She smiles.)

Oh wait.

I can.

. . .

How will you start over, Dear Reader?

  1. To quote Kalidasa:

    For yesterday is but a dream
    And tomorrow is only a vision;
    And today well-lived, makes
    Yesterday a dream of happiness
    And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
    Look well therefore to this day;
    Such is the salutation to the ever-new dawn!

  2. If I started over, I’d have to hunt down that guy that helped me make that beautiful daughter of mine. She’s thirty-one today and has been a blast since the day I met her!

  3. Having lived this long, I don’t think I would want to start all over again and go through a different set of pains and struggles. Instead, this is a good reminder to stop anything that would make you wish you could start over and start now where you are to do what you wish you could have done, adapting to current circumstances.

  4. If I could start all over again, I would acknowledge that broken trust is not a reason to stop trusting in myself.
    (P.S. You are stunningly beautiful!)

  5. There’s always a fresh start for each one of us as each day unfolds. Lool.
    And this means,If I could start over,it would mean accepting people for who they are and stop expecting perfectionists around me.kk

  6. when i think about starting again I imagine a small, pretty, empty cottage in the woods. It has beautiful wooden floors and light pouring in the windows and I think about what stuff I would bring to the house and what stuff to leave behind. It always cheers me up!

  7. If I could start over, I’d be more patient with those I care for and worry for. Often times they’re trying much harder than you know.
