My Dear Friend,
You’re in a tough place now, I know. You see no purpose or joy in life right now, I understand. There is a dark cloud following you everywhere and you see nothing but pain and… nothing, you’re right. You wish everything should stop with all costs, and no wonder. Everything seems pointless and you have a strong belief your future will be the same. You question everything, even the reason for your existence. Who would want to live such a miserable life?
In these tough times, I ask you to think about me. Think about the fact it wasn’t always like this. Think that someone somewhere loves you and they think about you every single day. Think about the fact that you’ve been through similar moments in the past and you managed to get through somehow. You’re stronger than you think you are! That’s a fact! Otherwise you wouldn’t be here right now. You and your life matter, even though it doesn’t seem to be that way. You changed other people’s lives for better along the way even though you don’t know that and you’ll keep doing it as long as you live. You are a piece of the puzzle and the puzzle wouldn’t be complete without you. The sun is still there even though the clouds cover it. Your happiness it there even though depression took over right now. This too shall pass.
Remember your smile, remember the moments you were thrilled, remember when your life felt complete, remember when you were happy. Just like weather, life has seasons, otherwise we wouldn’t know multiple states exist. You wouldn’t know happiness without some sadness and you wouldn’t know sadness without some happiness. You wouldn’t know evolution without some failure. You wouldn’t know better without going through worse. You wouldn’t know life without seeing death.
My dear friend, I’m asking you to be patient. Things will get better, you’ll see. All you need to do is to not make them worse. You feel pain and you want the lack of it. The only way to get there is thorough patience and faith. As it were before, things will get better, you’ll see. It always does. Sometimes it takes days, sometimes it takes months, sometimes it takes years. The longer the wait, the happier the moments. Everything has a price and the higher the price you need to pay, the bigger the reward.
When it’s tough, think about this: considering the pain you endure right now, imagine how awesome the reward will be! Nothing is eternal and your pain is no exception!
Signed,
Your Happy Moments

This statement says it all: “I’m asking you to be patient. Things will get better, you’ll see. All you need to do is to not make them worse.” How often do we add fuel to the flame because we can’t wait or we let our emotions run rampant? Solid post.

“You are a piece of the puzzle and the puzzle wouldn’t be complete without you.” I love it! Well-said. I hold on to the following scripture James 1:2-4 during times like that: 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. God bless you for encouraging others during such a trying time as today. We will all get through it together by keeping the faith.

I’ve been there, even tried taking my own life once, thankfully God knew better. The Holy Spirit hit me with a 2×4 to wake my Spirit again In fact, today I still have moments of severe depression, but each passing day it feels better. It take time. Be patient. Love what you do, love life, be you. That’s what you would want you to do. That’s what God wants for you. Peace and Joy in all circumstances. Philippians 4:13 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Christ will give you strength when you have none left. Depend on Him always. He’s got you. Always.

“This too shall pass.” Wise words for us all to remember when things in our life seem to be crumbling. We are stronger than we know. Kia kaha (stay strong).

WOW! Nice piece here Bogdan. It is true that we need to remember the happy moments during the sad times. I especially like how you creatively constructed the letter to read in such that the happy moments was writing a letter to the sad moments. Wise choice. If you do not mind me adding, there is something else. During sad moments, it is important to remember God. During happy moments, it is also important to remember God. It is important to remember God at all times. You see, everything happens for a reason, even the sometimes difficult challenges that we go through. God sometimes allows it so that we can grow and become stronger. At other times, it is not God that is involved but simply difficult forces of the world. A person with God can trust that no matter the situation, God is looking out for them. Even if God is allowing it, he still will look out for them. Our creator is powerful indeed and is necessary for life. To anyone interested, I suggest that you say a word of prayer and begin a relationship with God (if you do not already have one). God is willing and able to help, he is an ever present help in times of need, and at all times.
If you want further information on how to build a relationship with God, I have a post on it here: https://christcenteredruminations.wordpress.com/2018/08/29/how-to-build-a-relationship-with-god/
You can take it step by step.
I will leave you with these Bible verses:
The Bible says in 1 John 5:4
“For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”
The Bible says in Philippians 4:6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
God bless you 🙂
