Would You Like to Write for Pointless Overthinking?

By Troy Headrick

Hi, everyone.  I’m writing to tell you about a wonderful opportunity.  Pointless Overthinking (PO) is currently looking for about three new writers to join its team of bloggers.  If you’re interested in applying for such a position, please continue reading.

Before submitting work, please spend some time looking carefully at the sorts of topics covered by PO’s current bloggers.  Also note the typical length of the pieces that are regularly published and all that.

If you feel that your work would be a good fit, submit two sample blogs.  Please embedded them in the body of your email (no attachments please) and send them to troyheadrick@gmail.com.  The tentative deadline for submissions is October 19, 2020.

We would like to especially encourage bloggers based in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and South America to apply, and because so many of our most loyal readers come from India, bloggers from that glorious country are more than welcome to send their work.

If selected, we would prefer that you publish once a week or so.  (Other guidelines will be provided to those who are chosen.)

If you’ve got questions or concerns about the application process, please address them to ellenlaurenj@gmail.com or troyheadrick@gmail.com.

We look forward to reading your work!

  1. Reblogged this on Poems & Prose and commented:

Hello friends! The blog I write for–Pointless Overthinking–is looking to add 2-3 more members to our team.

This is an amazing platform to be a part of. Since I joined in December, I have pushed myself to think more creatively and how I can share some of my lessons with others. I thought if I could just add light to one person’s life with every blog, it would be worth it. And I have. I am honored by the amount of people who take the time to curate a thoughtful response to the topics I write on–topics that are so close to my heart. Some of the comments I receive on posts have brought tears to my eyes. It’s a privilege to write on this blog and I’m excited to add a few more members to our team of 8. Contact me if you have any questions 🙂

    1. Hi, friend. Are you a blogger? Would like to apply to join the team? If so, send us a couple of pieces of your best work. You’ll find additional instructions in the pinned announcement. Thanks for stopping by.

      1. We look forward to reading your submission. We likely won’t reply until after the deadline passes and we make our decision. Again, thanks for reading PO and showing an interest in joining our team.

    1. Thanks for the comment. We certainly see this as a great opportunity. Are you interested? If so, please follow the instructions in the pinned blog. We’d be happy to read your work.

      1. Thanks for the reply friend. Well yeah I contacted Troy Headrick through email. Had a few confusions so asked some questions. Hoping and waiting for the response.

  2. Hi Troy, I am just seeing this. Thanks for always stopping by at my “coffee shop”. You are a different kind of person, an unrepentant source of encouragement to others. And from what I see you offer here, another great mentor. Keep it up.

  3. This is something I have been looking for. Meeting different types of bloggers, sharing ideas, and growing an audience. Do you accept article submissions from people outside the team?

    Thanks 🙂
