How do you treat other people?

This one might be rhetorical.

Or not.

You choose.

. . .

Spread love, yo.

  1. depends on the day. sometimes im just crabby but i think that has to do with anxiety and such. other than that each person has about one or two chances with me regardless of type. i try to see good in everyone cuz i used to do it the other way and it was exhausting โค๏ธ

  2. I’d like to think that I try my best to make the other person feel heard and loved. But there’s always days where I’m a little more selfish than I think I am. However, the goal is help others have a better day than when they started ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Like most, I like to think I’m a ray of sweetness and light. Because, I’m a good person. At least, I think so. My mission statement includes words like kind, open, tolerant, accepting, loving, patient. I wonder what that guy I blasted my horn at thinks? Or the clerk I rolled my eyes at? It was mostly inadvertent. I think the truth is this: I’m lovely, most of the time, with the people I know and love. Mostly. I’m adequate, most of the time with strangers. However, on social media (some of the time) and out in the world (some of the time), I can also be a right git. Not “shame me on social media” bad. But, I’m not the Mother Theresa of my imaginings, either. ๐Ÿ˜

  4. I do my best every single day and in every interaction I have. I try to be kind, considerate, polite, and respectful. At least those are the things I strive for. I was lucky to have been raised by good people who taught me the importance of these things. When I fail, i try to do better the next time.

On a side note, when I read your question, I had an interesting initial reaction. For the first time in my life, I thought how odd it sounded. How do I “treat” others. We use “treat” in other contexts, and that word, for the very first time, felt weird. Doctors “treat” patients, so there’s this sort of very cold and clinical feeling that comes with the term. It’s a wonder that we don’t have another way to say this or a more appopriate verb. I know all this comes from me being such a language person, such a geek. On the nerd accusation, I have to plead guilty.

    Thanks, Snapdragon.

    1. Some people definitely blow their chance at respect! I try to always give people the benefit of the doubt, but sometimes people show their true colors. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

  5. I tend to treat others with kindness and respect while being friendly! Restricting my time spent with others who have a constant negative energy ( I really feel the energies of others). Thank you for this post & have a great weekend ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒธ

  6. For the most part I go by the golden rule: treat others the way I want to be treated. That doesnโ€™t mean I don’t have bad days, when I get hurt by someone, I’m tired, or just human. And I try to remember that about other people too.
