Join the Pointless Overthinking Team of Writers!

By Troy Headrick

Hi, everyone.  I’m writing to tell you about a wonderful opportunity.  Pointless Overthinking (PO) is currently looking for about three new writers to join its team of bloggers.  If you’re interested in applying for such a position, please continue reading.

Before submitting work, please spend some time looking carefully at the sorts of writing normally published in PO.  The website will consider work by poets and short fiction writers, but our preferences are creative nonfiction, including “think pieces,” especially those with a self-help, philosophical, psychological, or cultural analysis bent.  As you submit, keep in mind that the PO tagline is “Understanding ourselves and the world we live in.”

If you feel that your work would be a good fit, submit two sample blogs.  Please embedded them in the body of your email (no attachments please) and send them to troyheadrick@gmail.com.  The tentative deadline for submissions is October 31, 2021.  Please be patient as we evaluate the samples sent to us.

We would like to especially encourage bloggers based in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and South America to apply, and because so many of our most loyal readers come from India, writers from that glorious country are more than welcome to send their work.  Having said all that, the quality of the writing will be our number one concern.

If selected, we would prefer that you publish once a week or so.  (Other guidelines will be provided to those who are chosen.)

If you’ve got questions or concerns about the application process, please address them to  troyheadrick@gmail.com.  We look forward to reading your work!
